Trivial recounts and ravings. ☂ 11/12/25Northern Lights! The northern lights were visible in many areas last night, and I was blown away with how vibrant they are. Unfortunately I've never really been able to see them well before due to cloud cover in the past, but it was certainly amazing to finally see them clearly and in person. It first started out as a sort of pinkish red looking smog that came and went, before the green started to come through. So incredibly beautiful.
☂ 11/8/25Symphony & Parking Venture This should be a nice little story to kick off the blog section. Last night I attented an amazing symphony, and was definitely not disappointed. The tickets were about twenty dollars, and even for such a short symphony it was very worth it to get there and see it. I had to leave about forty minutes early to beat the rushhour traffic, and it took me another fifteen or so minutes to find a place to park which wasn't an issue, I managed to snag a spot right next to the stairs leading up to the street (The issue with that would certainly come later). I headed over a few blocks to the concert hall to find my seat, thankfully I was on the second tier and didn't have many rows to sift through. The main crux of the evening was after the concert at eight, I headed back to the parking garage, and, could not, for the life of me, find my car. I retraced my steps from the entrance, waltzed around the entire garage about three times, even took the escalator down to the second floor to make sure I wasn't going mad, and then did it all over again. I am not joking when I say that I was searching for my car for about two hours. By the time I found the damn thing, the place was nearly empty and I was on the verge of getting an uber because I was so exhausted, not to mention it was like being in a frigid meat locker down there as night settled in. Initially I thought that it must have been towed, perhaps because I had certainly overstayed my purchased parking ticket at that point by about two and a half hours, had parked in a restricted zone by accident, or that I was wandering around the wrong parking garage which I definitely knew I wasn't. It felt like I was in the twilight zone, only I looked like twice an idiot. Where was it, you ask? Well, I ended up wandering through another section of the parking garage blocked with cones that I didn't recognize, mostly out of desperation, and I found, walking through that different section of the garage, lh'o and Behold, it was there, parked in it's desolation, looking as stupid as I did. I have no idea if I was retracing from the wrong entrance, or section, or what, but it was not pleasant to find it so close to where I had been painstakingly searching for two hours. Oh well. I was embarassed and very frustrated, but at that point I was just ready to go home and get to sleep. Thankful that my car hadn't been towed, I (not so) happily payed my parking ticket and got home at about twelve o' clock. I have learned my lesson and will be taking a photo next time. Don't be like me. |
